Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Still not sure? Contact us and we’ll help.

What areas do you serve?

Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody, BC. As a mobile service, exact coverage can depend on your specific neighbourhood and route — email us if you’re unsure.

How does booking work?

Submit a request through Book Now with your dog’s details and preferred service. This is a request, not an instant booking — we review it and contact you personally to confirm the next step.

What’s the difference between the three services?

Private Dog Walking is one-on-one, in your neighbourhood. Small Group Walks pair your dog with a few carefully matched dogs. Group Adventures add pickup, vehicle transportation to an outdoor destination, and a structured group walk before returning your dog home.

How does the compatibility assessment work?

Every dog is assessed for temperament, behaviour, size, and energy before joining a Small Group Walk or Group Adventure. Not every dog is a fit for groups — Private Dog Walking is always available as an alternative.

What days are you available?

Current regular availability is Saturday and Sunday. Additional weekday dates may occasionally be available — the Book Now date picker will simply allow those dates when they’re open.

Will weekday availability ever be added?

Yes — weekday availability will expand as the business grows. If you’d like weekday service, the Book Now form has an option to tell us which weekdays would interest you; that helps us decide which day to open first.

How much does it cost?

Private Dog Walking is $40 + GST for 45 minutes or $50 + GST for 60 minutes. Small Group Walks are $35 per dog + GST for 60 minutes. Group Adventures are $55 per dog + GST for approximately 90 minutes of structured outdoor adventure time (pickup and drop-off included). See full pricing for details.

What happens at the Meet & Greet?

Every new client starts with a free Meet & Greet or initial assessment — how we get to know your dog before the first walk, small group placement, or Group Adventure. There’s no charge for this step.

How does transportation work for Group Adventures?

Group Adventures include pickup from your home, secure vehicle transportation to an outdoor destination, a structured group walk, and return drop-off — for dogs who have completed the compatibility assessment.

How do I pay for a confirmed booking?

Submitting a request never requires payment. Once we’ve confirmed your booking and given you a final total (including 5% GST), you can pay securely by PayPal on our Pay for Your Confirmed Booking page.

Do you offer off-leash walks?

Limited off-leash handling may be available for suitable dogs after assessment and written authorization. It may occur only in a securely fenced private yard with lawful permission or in a municipality-designated off-leash area during permitted hours and in accordance with applicable rules. Off-leash service is never guaranteed, and Tri-Cities Pet Care may keep or place a dog on-leash whenever considered appropriate for safety or welfare.
